We are delighted to announce that Dr. Brittany Barber has been named the new Executive Director of Hamilton Wings! A proud SCORE! alumna, Dr. Barber humbly returns to lead the organization that first helped shape her own path as a student—bringing her journey full circle.

Dr. Barber is an educator, author, inspirational speaker, trainer, facilitator, licensed minister, and founder of Brittany Barber Speaks, LLC. With more than 14 years of experience in higher education, leadership development, student success, and community engagement, she has dedicated her career to empowering people to embrace their brilliance and unlock their full potential.

She has held impactful roles at Elgin Community College, Outreach Community Center in Carol Stream, and Harper College, where she served as the inaugural Cultural Center Manager. In 2025, Dr. Barber received the Elevating Equity grant to launch the Brilliant, Innovative, Gamechangers (B.I.G.) Lunch, a program that connected high school students with diverse business professionals who encouraged their academic and career aspirations. She is also the author of Dear Nina: Letters to the Little Girl in All of Us (2025), a heartfelt collection of letters written to inspire her daughters and young women everywhere.

Her leadership and service have been recognized nationally and locally, including the Kuumba New Professional “Visionary” Award from the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (2018) and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanitarian Award from the City of Elgin (2019).

Guided by authenticity, compassion, and a deep commitment to transformational change, Dr. Barber is passionate about strengthening families, supporting youth, and building thriving communities. As Executive Director, she is eager to continue advancing the legacy of Dr. Risé Jones, partnering with families, alumni, donors, and community leaders to expand the impact of Hamilton Wings.
